Sunita Passi a renowned specialist in Ayurvedic medicine, author, lecturer and TEDx speaker joins us to talk all things Ayurveda.
During this event, Sunita will de mystify complementary medicine and explain to us why Ayurveda is a viable option for healthcare. Many medicines are based on herbs and plants used by cultures worldwide for their healing properties, and it’s likely that the Ayurveda system developed over centuries in India is the world’s oldest cohesive approach to wellbeing. We’ve seen fragments of it spun off in the form of yoga and mindfulness, often out of context.
Sunita will explain to us the core principles of Ayurveda and we will discuss what we can do to apply the ancient principles in our modern daily lives. We will briefly touch upon the different doshas (constitutions), what they mean, how you can diagnose yourself plus basic dietary guidelines and balancing tastes, and how important herbs are to our health. Sunita is a big fan of growing your own plants, including harvesting, processing and making home remedies plus the herbal kitchen and rebalancing our nutrition habits the Ayurvedic way.
These are all subjects that part of Sunita’s Masterclass “The Introduction to Ayurveda” that she has kindly made available on a complimentary basis for our Wellbeing At Home Community. Come along and get details of how to get access.
