Introduction to Journaling with Claudia Roth

Many of us have at some time in our lives kept a diary of sorts. Whether it was when we were children or even more recent years when we wanted to write down our thoughts. What we know now is that daily writing is a powerful tool to help with our mental and emotional wellbeing.

Benefits include:

  • The reduction of stress. Results of a study showed that expressive writing for only 15 to 20 minutes a day three to five times over the course of a four-month period was enough to lower blood pressure and improve liver functionality.
  • Improvement of Immune Function. A study from 2018 found that 76% of adults who spent 20 minutes writing about their thoughts and feelings for three consecutive days two weeks before a medically necessary biopsy were fully healed 11 days later. Meanwhile, 58% of the control group had not recovered.
  • Keeps our cognitive function sharp. Results of a study published by Cambridge University shows that writing about our feelings and emotions had many benefits including boosting memory and comprehension.

During this event, Claudia will talk to us about the art of journaling and how we can introduce a consistent practice into our daily lives.

Apart from it benefiting our health and wellbeing it can also help us tap into our intuition. Claudia will explain to us how we can use journaling as a way of moving beyond our conditioned mind and limiting beliefs to find out who we really are and receive guidance.
