Breathwork is now recognised as a legitimate form of healing and way to improve our health…and how wonderful is that? That we can use our own breath to help ourselves! There are various forms of breathwork available to us and for this event we will explore a particular technique with Conscious Connected Breath Coach Justine Clement where we will explore how to connect more profoundly with ourselves using our breath.
Justine will introduce us to a simple, gentle technique that helps people to open up the full potential of their breathing system for better physical and emotional wellbeing. Conscious breathing is natural, safe and healthy and has been demonstrated to have many, many benefits, including increased energy, better immune response and increased ability to deal with stress in a healthy way. The talk will also include a demonstration of the technique and a 10 minute guided session. For this, please ensure you are in a safe, warm space where you feel relaxed and won't be disturbed. You'll need to lie flat on the floor, or on a bed/sofa with a cushion under your head for comfort. So get your space ready in advance of the session and ensure you'll be able to hear Justine from your computer/device whilst in your breathing position.
Note: If you have any respiratory or heart conditions (including high blood pressure) then you'll need to be in a semi-elevated position, so the upper part of your body is upright and resting perhaps against a wall, or sofa, propped up with cushions. Also, note, this type of Breathwork is not suitable for anyone who suffers from epilepsy, has a detached retina, glaucoma, prior strokes or seizures, pregnancy - first trimester only - ok after that, or any psychotic or borderline psychotic states. If you have asthma, you can participate but you please have your inhaler with you.
