2022 was a challenging year for so many people. Can a practice of Kundalini Yoga enhance the opportunity for us to have good health, joy, abundance and prosperity in 2023? Absolutely!
Our practice on Saturday, ‘Abundance and Prosperity’, will create the environment in which we can have a year ahead which is filled with abundant good things. We’ll be doing physical postures/asanas which stengthen the nervous system, balance the glandular system and stimulate endorphins and dopamine to give us that feel-good factor.
At the beginning of Saturday’s practice I’ll be asking you to set an intention, something realistic and manageable, which if you can make it your companion in 2023 would enhance your joy and wellbeing.
Some of the exercises we’ll do, together with some beautiful chants, will open up your heart centre (the home of your love and compassion). By letting go of struggle and effort, perhaps because we’ve set unreachable goals, and opening up the heart centre, we attract abundance and opportunities.
About Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga, the “Yoga of Awareness” is a life-enhancing and very enjoyable style of Yoga which, using physical postures and movements (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation and chanting, enables us to tap our latent potential which may have been lying dormant for a long time. Teachers of Kundalini Yoga have available a large repertoire of sets (kriyas), each of which focuses on a particular objective and have many benefits e.g. balancing the glandular system, strengthening the immune system, reducing fear and anxiety.
Kundalini Yoga is for anyone: no need to be very flexible, no matter what age, no need to be anxious about being judged. Eyes closed throughout most of the practice, getting a true sense of what’s going on inside the body, mind and spirit. “If you don’t go within, you go without”. And, at the same time, having some fun!
